Academy of Machines | Open workshop

Unzip this folder. Open a PDF in dist/files and print at actual size.
Use a ruler to check the printed scale line before tracing or cutting.
For a printer, open the matching 3MF in your slicer and choose your actual printer,
material and nozzle. Inspect the first layer before sending a job to the printer.

Ring frame: two rings and four uprights. Build a frame that stands square.
Pivot leg: fit the three pieces so that the shoulder and ankle turn by hand.
Alignment squares: hold a rib at 90 degrees before fixing it in place.
Service box: seat a clipped practice card and fit a removable lid.

Retain the copyright and permission notice when sharing the files or substantial
portions. These are independent, unpowered Academy designs. An adult operates
hot printers, cutters and powered tools with a young child.

To regenerate the pivot, alignment squares or service box, install OpenSCAD
on your PATH and Python 3 with ReportLab. From this folder, run
python tools/make-leg-kit.py or python tools/make-service-box.py. The source
uses millimeters. Regenerated files go in dist/files. The generic JavaScript
modules draw the keyed practice box from its original geometry.
